S.S. Global School has an excellent group of professional educators who are committed not only to teaching their students in their specific subject area, but who are here to see their students achieve academic success! Since the beginning of the academic curriculum, SSGS team has sought teachers who are willing to walk an extra mile with the students by providing extra time necessary to help their students reach their goals.
We have guided our teachers to take additional responsibility in-order to create a feedback loop between teachers, students & parents, which gives us possibility to improve the communication gap & make the learning more efficient.
Teacher-Parent Communication
S.S. Global School administration and teachers believe that communication needs to take place on a daily basis. We wish to enable a 3-channel communication ( Student’s Diary, scheduled teacher- parent meeting & progress reports) between Parents, teachers, and students via which the student’s progress can be timely monitored and necessary steps (if need be) could be undertaken to improve the progress of the student.
School Diary
A school-supplied “School Diary” provides an ongoing dialogue between teacher and parent. The homework for the evening is noted in this book and initialed by the teacher to ensure that the entries are complete. When completed, the student shows his/her parents the homework and the parents initial the book. The following morning, the teacher checks the homework and notes the parental signatures.
Scheduled Teacher-parent meeting
At SSGS, the school administration conducts a monthly parents-teachers meeting on 14th of every month to discuss the progress of each students. In case of special circumstances the parents are welcome to visit the school premises (with a pre-booked appointment) during the school hours to speak to the respective class or subject teachers.
Additionally we intend to introduce a random bi-weekly (Elementary) or monthly (High School) parents-teacher progress call. This contact includes anecdotal comments about the student’s social and academic development as well as the marks and progress achieved in subject areas. These formal contacts are another way in which SSGS can boast that there are “no surprises” at report card time, as the parents are already aware of their child’s accomplishments.
Progress report
SSGS is an academic school that sets high performance standards for its students. There are regular tests, quizzes and projects, and ongoing evaluation by the teachers throughout the year. Examinations are scheduled regularly for students and each student receives a formal, written progress report. This report card is not the first time you will learn about your child’s achievements; it is a summary of the progress discussed during the frequent teacher/parent communications throughout the term.
Teachers Training Program: At SSGS we also offer Teachers training program. The objective of this training program is to:
- - Ensure teachers adapting to new & more innovative ways of teaching.
- - Support teachers with further competency & skill development.
- - Bring our teachers on the front with this ever-changing Digital World!
