Course Curriculum
The academic structure of the S.S. Global School is based upon the institute’s core values that every
child must develop. We firmly believe that our course curriculum takes care of providing theoretical and
practical leaning experience to the students.
Elementary School (Pre-Primary)
Elementary school covering Nursery, K.G. – I & K.G. - I, adopts a non-theoretical approach to learning.
Children here are encouraged to explore their environment while also being taught basic concepts in
language, mathematics, art and craft , dance and music. Activities at this level are designed to develop
fine motor skills and enhance sensory development with an integration of physical education through
trained personnel. In a nurturing environment, they would develop an awareness of themselves as
responsible and capable learners for the first time. In the elementary school teachers evaluations and
assessments are continuous and ongoing and are deemed sufficient to mark student's progress.
Junior School (Lower Primary)
Spanning from class I - IV, the junior school is the child's introduction to full day school. This stage of school aims
to build on the child's growing spirit of discovery and exploration. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of sound
language skills, mathematical concepts and scientific fundamentals. Regular project work enables students to gain
awareness and in-depth knowledge. The children are encouraged to develop good study habits and a love for
learning. The final assessment of a child's progress is based not only on the final examination but also on day-to-day
observation in the class, worksheets, participation in activities, C.W. & H.W.
Middle School (Upper Primary)
Comprising classes V to IX, this stage sees the introduction of a third language, Sanskrit or
German, as well the detailing of history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology as separate
subjects. At this stage we focus not only on the conceptual learning but additionally on
developing the practical skills in different subject areas. Our key highlights for the middle school
shall be programming language & analytical skills.
Homework
Homework, considered to be an integral part of the learning process is set every day, encouraging independent
study. At junior school, homework time varies from 30 minutes to an hour in junior school. At middle school this
increases to six hours a week and progresses to ten hours a week.
Assessment
A regular assessment of student's work is considered crucial in the educational process. Progress
is discussed with both parents and students. In junior school the assessment is based on class
work, homework, projects, worksheets, final exams and a detailed progress report is made by the
teacher. While middle school onwards, we follow continuous assessments throughout the year,
there are quarterly, half-yearly and annual examination.
